New delivery experiences from LazyDays Tampa

Curious to know if any CC owners have recently taken delivery from LazyDays in Tampa and how your experience went. First time for us about 8 years ago was a bit dicey but there are all new folks there now.
Anything that you could provide will make us better prepared to get a well prepared unit off their lot.

We bought used and our sales man Andrew was great although he was our 3rd sales guy I didn't like the sales tactics of the first two and had words with a manager. Once we found our fifthwheel all of the negotiations was do e over the phone since we are an hour away. We did by previously loved so we did a little extra looking. They did fix almost everything. Rescreened, new safety alarms, and fixed all of the small things. They lost a part to the pinbox so we got a brand new reese goosbox at no charge. We did two pdi checks o e very good one at the end. The only thing I missed was when I got home and went to unhitch we had no batterie power and they wouldn't take a charge. I tested all 4 group 24 batteries individually and they were all junk. When I talked to Brent who did the final pdi with us he reimbursed me for the 4 batteries. So all in all it was a good experience if you dont count the first two salesmen. If you dont groove with your sales person get another one. I do think Brent is the service manager and he was great also.

Lazydays

I have nothing good to say about Lazydays. I just left there a few days ago. The fridge in the unit I was buying did not work, took 2 weeks for it to get resolved. I was emailing Forest River & Cedar Creek complaining because no one at Lazydays knew what was going on. We spent 2 weeks and Memorial Day weekend in there lot where you swap out your trade in. My trade in had damage that was already paid for by my insurance company to be repaired at Lazydays or I would have been down the road!!! I could have bought a 2020 model of the 2019 model I got there for $5000 less in Kentucky or Ohio.

Yes, very similar experience for us.
First the finance guy comes out and tells us that they don't accept personal checks. In the 3 month buying period and discussions with about 1/2 dozen of their people no one said anything about that.
They took our check.
Our salesman had been fired 2 days before we arrived for delivery so no one to help who had any skin in the game.
Took 3 full days to get the punch list (mostly) taken care of. Most of it was cosmetic but the walk thru was a calamity of errors! The Levelup was leaking at the time so the guy bypassed that system. Fridge got -0- attention. Couldn't get cooktop to ignite all burners so that demo was cut short. Never saw him again although the items on his punch list were repaired. Still trying to figure out the intricacies of the Levelup. I can hitch, unhitch and level but don't know how to do individual jack operations.
Needed a little cabinet work, 1 jack repaired, paint protector applied and a re-buff job. Those 4 things took 4 trips to and from the shop!! Could have been done in 1 trip of course. Took 1 entire day to find a person who knew how to set the valves so we could get hot water inside. I could and should go on but y'all have been there. You know.
3 days later we were on our way.
No big issues. Just more little ones than I'd like to deal with.

We had a pretty good experience. Had several items on the PDI that were taken care of, some lingered until after delivery. Biggest issue was the theater seating.
First set the foot rest on one unit would not stay down. Replaced with unit that was uncomfortable. Replace that with power unit that cannot go down if power goes out or boon docking. Just called Cedar Creek to see what we can do about that.

I wish you could negotiate an escrow fund of $2k until your issues are closed.

My delivery guy did not understand that I wanted updates on the status of issues being addressed. When I didn't get updates I assumed nothing was being done. The Delivery Manager helped get that point across to him.

Good luck. I think you run into varied experiences with all dealers.

Also, be ready for them not to allow you to take your unit off their lot if they feel the TV isn't capable. This is a good thing.
