New front decal issue
Our new trailer had the recall on the front cap fading done prior to us picking it up. Just noticed couple days ago they did not remove the clear mask over the decal and it bubbled in the sun. I removed it however it now left behind a layer of glue over the new decal. Any one have a good suggestion to remove this sticky glue without damaging the new decal. Thanks

Maybe WD40 or Goo Gone? I would spray WD on micro fiber cloth first. I would not directly spray WD on decal.
Make sure you wash it off after using WD40 so it doesn't damage decal

Yes! Google Gone could be very dangerous to the Internet!

Didn't know they had a recall. What did they do? What year is your trailer?

The recall had to do with front cap fading. They had it repainted and a new decal applied. 2015

On many vinyl graphics, the clear outer layer (on just the decal itself) is not intended to be removed. It is part of the decal.
I realize you said yours bubbled.
Maybe it was defective too?

My 2015 Silverback had 2 cap fades. The last go round, 3 "bear" decals. The last one bubbled as you indicated yours did. I removed the layer before heading back to Indiana for major repairs. That shield is NOT DESIGNED TO BE REMOVED.
I was offered a light cap with 2016 lettering and no big decal which I gladly accepted.
Unit looks better and we certainly feel better!

What does the lettering look like. Do you have pics? Maybe that could be an option for us.

Ok thanks. That would work for us if the bear decal has not been updated and improved.

I dunno what "shield" you guys are talking about on the decal, but I've put on several sets over the years. A decal is usually vinyl sandwiched between a backer and a waxy (for no better word) cover sheet. You peel the backer off as you go and apply the decal squeeging out the air center to edge. Once you get that done, you peel the outer cover sheet off back over the decal at say a 20 degree angle to prevent pulling the decal back up. Small air bubbles usually work themselves out in a few sunny days. Larger ones can be poked with a sharp sewing needle and squeeging. Perhaps the decal itself was crap to start with. I've applied 2 "bear" decals in the last year without issue.
