New SB 29RE

Well, I had to update my signature. Forest River and Funtown RV took care of my numerous issues with my Wildcat by getting me into a Silverback.

I am looking forward to actually using my 5er.

Pulled it home in the cold rain yesterday. About a 3 hour trip.

Congrats on your new Silverback. We pulled ours home about 3 weeks ago. Can't wait until mid February, when we will actually get to use it.

Had our 2015, 33rl, since early May. Towed from Ft Pierce, FL, to N GA mountains. We then traveled to the Forest River rally in Goshen. Loved it!! Just returned from central FL and then over to Disney at Fort Wilderness for Christmas, over east to Jacksonville for New Years and back to Atlanta and on to on site parking in N GA mountains until March! Ohhhh yeah!! We are retired and use this thing. Tows with TrailAir
Pin box like it is not even there!
Can you tell, WE LOVE OUR SILVERBACK! 😍
Really like being able to winterize in 30 minutes, including line drains, blow out and anti freeze draw through. I keep fresh water empty during winter months.
Looking forward to Utah and Colorado maybe California again all on our rv bucket list.
Enjoy!!

Hey SilverbackMe,

Our daughter and family live in Dacula. When we visit we usually end up staying at Lake Lanier. But campground is getting a bit long in the tooth. Pull thrus are limited and not very good. Have you got a better place to stay around the Dacula/Buford area? Private CGs are OK, but Stone Mountain is a little too far to drive back and forth every day.
Thanks,

Skip

Salt Shaker - We have a 2013 SB 29 RE and love it! A couple of things I would like to ask you about your 2014 model year. 1. does your trailer have cathedral ceilings on all three slides as the FR website showed ( I think) with a flat roof slide on the driver side? 2. Have they filled in the opening near the LH front landing leg as ours had a opening there you could pass baseballs through?

As soon as it is warm enough, I would was the entire rig, especially the underneath. You don't want the salt working on the chassis until spring.

WeRCreekers camping

Sorry to say, but, next closest place to Dacula is off of highway 316 to Winder and Ft Yargo State Park. It is a very fast and ez trip. 13 miles, 11 of which are 4 lane divided highway. Very quiet and good campground for a state park. The real estate is NOT Lake Lanier so sites are more private and larger. Mostly flat and full hookup. I recommend you try it.
There are no resort style parks around these parts. We are retired and prefer upscale vs rustic. Lake Lanier is long in the tooth because of the HEAVY summer use and lack of resources to keep up! I drive through there several times a year on my Harley. The FEW great spots are always taken.
We are owners in a 850 acre resort in the town of Dahlonega, GA. It is a luxury resort. We pay a premium to lease a 65 ft concrete level spot and use this as home base. Next time you come here, text me or call, and extend your stay for a few days and I will see if you can get you in. People on Passport America or guests can enjoy the ranch for a few nights at a nominal rate.
I will send you a PM.

It has cathedral in bedroom and right slide, kitchen and chairs are flat. I am not seeing an opening anywhere. I'll look more when it's not blowing 45 mph, but at a glance I am not seeing any openings on either side. Propane on one and level up on the other.

I like that it actually looks like it was put together to stay together vs put together to get it out the door. It pulled great.
