New Sewer Hose Storage

Didn't want a hose hanging around outside the rig, the built-in hose holder is too small for the connectors (keeping the clothes line in that).. So installed a 5" fence post inside the storage area. Hangs from the from using a custom built clamp. Need to make some covers for each end and then good to go.

Looks nice...how do you keep water from dripping out of holder?

Going to make covers for both ends. Also keep caps on the hose ends.

I use basically the same thing, only mounted under the RV on the frame just forward of the wheels where it is close to the dump outlet.

Instead of the square fence, I use the 4" white leech field thin wall ABS pipe and position the holes on the bottom so that any residual water can drain out. There are also plastic floor grates (Lowes or Home Depot) that fit nicely into the pipe as a cap. By drilling a hole on each side I can slide a piece of coat hanger through the pipe&cap to hold the cap in place while traveling.

The other advantage to this type of holder is that you can make it the width of the RV, and thus accommodate a 20' Triple Wrap hose.

To mount to the frame, you can go through one of the drain holes on the bottom of the pipe and screw it (with a washer) into the frame.

I just use a Plastic tote witha secure lid and keep it in the back of the truck, I wouldnt mount that inside the trailer, Yuck

I'm gonna fabricate one from Septic pipe as well. I'm thinking of using U shaped band clamps screwed to the frame to hold 'er in place.

Yep nice idea and looks great. But I'm with a couple of others that 'stuff' stays outside not in my storage area.

Well the boss informed me that she would be putting stuff in "my" tool storage spot and so the hose can't stay... so now it is a flag pole holder... Hose is now located underbelly forward of the spare. Even thought it is a balmy 22 deg out... figured I should just get it done...

I sure hope you drilled some drain (3/8")holes in the bottom of the storage tube. Each time I store my hose, it still is wet inside and outside if I rinsed it off. From time to time, I even have to rinse the inside of my storage tube.

I have two of the 5 inch PVC's mounted under our unit. One contains the sewer gear and the other a coiled hose and our long handled hot-dog sticks.

Yes I did drill several holes in the bottom of each to drain.
