Newbies - Cedar Creek Cottage 40 CFK 2011
All,
First, we want to say "thank you" to everyone that has posted here. This forum has been a HUGE and helpful resource for us as newbies. THANK YOU for sharing!
Second, our situation: We selected this 40CFK to be our "home" in the mountains of Western North Carolina while we restore a 130-year-old log cabin. So it is AT the "destination" and we are just figuring out how to settle in for what will likely be a life-long project. We expect to be in the Cedar Creek Cottage for 1 - 2 years as we work on the cabin. We've attached a photo of the view from the front door of the cottage.
While we have LOADS of questions for the forum, we'll start with a question about setting the trailer into a more secure situation. Currently we are planning to put the trailer on block piers after removing the wheel carriage. The site is sloped and we would like to get it lower to the ground and to secure it against the winter winds sure to come. We'd welcome the advice of anyone experienced in this endeavor.
We also have questions about water, water pressure, filters, preparing for winter and other topics - but we'll continue to scour the forum history first.
Thanks for your help.
Chris and Julie
