No hot water

I hooked the water up to the rig, got all the rv antifreeze out, thru the cold and hot lines. So I flipped the switch on (suburban on-demand) and no hot water, gas turned on, have gas back to the cook stove so I figured it made it to the water heater. When I turned the switch to the on position, very faint light came on for a millisecond. Let the water run for quite some time, and numerous times. No sound of trying to light, no flashing light, talking about the little red light by the on/off switch. Oh I have a good flow of water coming out of the faucets. Any ideas? Thanks

sorry for the side view, but if I turn the one on the blue and red in the center of pic, inline, (they go to the water heater) it will dump the water thru a hose that dumps to the ground. I have to get the pics off my phone, but theres 2 lines that hang below the heater.

No hot water

How do you know the tank is full?

Did you check the reset buttons on the water heater.

Those 3 valves appear incorrect for non by-pass. There is a pictorial at the bottom of your photo showing manifold bypass valve positions. Have you positioned the valves to the correct position for non by-pass?

And this is why I say to open pressure relief valve in order to fill water heater tank, turning on a hot water tap tells you nothing, as you'll still get water out of it if bypass valves are incorrect or forgotten about.

If you are in bypass mode then you never filled the hot water tank. Now if you tried lighting it, you may have burned out the heater element.

The OP said he had an ON DEMAND water heater but it appears he may not have one. I recently posted on another one of this OP's questions and he indicated at that time also he had an on demand system.

OP says this is a Suburban On-Demand heater. Does that change any advice given here?

Does the On Demand Water Heater even have a tank?

The OP said this is a Suburban On-Demand water heater - no tank to fill, not electric, LP only, different type of resets. Nothing like the usual Suburan water heater

The literature for thes WH says there is a drain for winterization. Looks to be the white or clear tube. Look for a valve on these hoses or a pipe cap to go on them.

You need to find how to shut these lines off, then reverse the position of your three winterizing valves. The unit will never work until the cold water and hot water shut-off valves are open and the bypass valve is closed.

Rick

EDIT
Looked at the manual again
http://www.americanrvcompany.com/ass...rban/5132A.pdf
Under draining and storage, it says to remove the service panel to access the drain valve - something to check.

During the walk around, the Tech wanted to know if I wanted them to shorten the 2 hoses hanging down, I said if thats all thats got to be done, I could do that. Anyway, any other turning of the valves other then whats in the top pic, water will steam out full force out of the bigger hose. I looked the best I could, will again tonight, for any shut-off valve on either hose that hangs down. Maybe on the hanging hose there has to be a sut-off, or one of those comtraction that hooks on the end to shut-off. I think the solid white hose that hangs down would be the drain for winterizing.
Thanks

Can you post a picture of the diagram that appears partially on the right side of your original picture? Does that hold any clues?

Here is a pic

I believe this is by pass setup, if I turn the 2 center valves, thats currently shut off, water pours out the hose that goes to the ground.

wls, in looking at your first pic you posted of your plumbing station valves, I am noticing the black handles on your black water, galley tank, and I think that's fresh tank.

Are these handles/tanks currently open (pulled out all the way) or is there just that much gap between the black handle and rod end when pushed in.

I was just wondering if you had all the tanks open, and that is why water is perhaps running out a low point drain.

Can you push these handles in any more?

To small to read verbiage but your valve position picture does not look like the drawing. The center valve is open and the drawing shows to be closed but drawing print to small to make out if it is showing by pass or normal.
