Picked up 2016 Silverback 31RK this week. Ordered it and it just came in from factory
They started putting in a Westinghouse 11 cu ft electric with a 1000 watt pure sine wave inverter. I froze some water bottles in the freezer and distributed them in the fridge while driving 10 hours. Everything in fridge cold and still frozen even with fridge off that long, summer might be different.

With the Inverter configured properly the fridge should be on all the time even while traveling on the road.

If you only have 1 12v battery I can see why you did that. My CC had a 600W inverter and 4 6v batts. The fridge and all of the 12v circuits would run for 3 days without a problem. Its important to have ice for the martini's while watching the buffalo stroll by.
Enjoy your new SB.

Just purchased the same coach this month.
Really love the rear kitchen and the addition floor space it provides.
Have taken it to Bryce and Zion National Parks and enjoyed every minute we spent in it (though it wasn't much during the day).
If you don't mind, what are you towing it with.

I'm also looking at the 31RK, but also like the 29IK and the 29RE. I really like the rear kitchen though as it does open up the RV. What options did you get and what ones would you suggest. Couche's RV in Ohio is the only place that I know of that has all three models that I can actually see side by side but it's over 600 miles from where I live. Just might have to take a road trip ! I have heard nothing but great things about Couche's RV, great prices and service.

I'm really curious, why are you traveling without power to the fridge? The unit is designed to operate the fridge with the inverter during travel.

The options I have on mine are:
Larger refrigerator (dual doors)
The 6 point auto leveling system (a must!)
King size bed (rv king)
For us, the rear kitchen and the options above make this coach extremely comfortable.
What ever you decide, I want you to know that it want be a bad decision.

I tow my 31RK with an F250 6.7L Diesel with air bags. Plenty of power for hills, good handling and braking. Had to get a weight ticket to license it and well within the weight limits of the truck. The rear axle of the truck was 5,000 lbs with the tow connected and the empty trailer was right at 9,000lbs. The trailer can hold 3400 lbs of cargo but the F250 rear axle would likely max out at 2500 lbs.
As to options I recommend getting the 6 point leveling, upgraded mattress, wireless rear camera, 2nd ac if you are in warm climate, vacuum and residential fridge unless you prefer to boondock. You'll need to add batteries if you have the residential fridge/inverter.

I don't understand you had to get a weight ticket

local tax and tag office wouldn't accept the manufacturers certificate of origin which has the weights on it. Go figure.
Anyway, I had wanted to get the truck and trailer weighed together anyway so I could figure out how much weight was on my hitch and how much cargo I could safely add without being overweight.

Bought my 2014 38CK from Couch's. Worth the drive. Ask for Jeff or Brandon. Don't screw around with them trying for free bees after they give you a great price. It's insulting.
