Picked up our new 38FL

So we traded off our Cyclone 300C for a left over 2014 38FL a couple weeks ago. I would still love to have a Toy Hauler but we felt that the added living space in a regular 5th wheel was more important to us as we will be using the RV for family trips more then we would use it at the atv parks.

It was hard to pass on the 2014 model as we were able to get it under invoice due to the factory rebates. (My dad was the salesman)

The trailer came with the goodyear G614 but we opt to swap them out with the tire/wheels that I had on the 300c. I wanted to keep the 17.5 H rated tires.

We also added the Lippert Trail Air pin box and the rear camera. And my favorite part is the 6 pt leveling. It is awesome and I am not sure how I have survived without that.

Now we just have to get out in it and use it. But unfortunately we did not have enough time to use it before I had to head back offshore.

Very nice! Hope you get to take it out soon. Nothing worse than buying something and not being able to use it for a while. Jerry.

Congrats on your new purchase. We bought ours this time last year but then had to wait what seemed to be an eternity before we could take it out. We love ours and I hope you will have many great experiences with yours. The only mods I have done to ours was the addition of the Progressive Industries 50amp electric management system and I modified the CC sewer storage enabling it to take the Rhinoflex hose. The rear view camera is on my wish list but it will have to wait for now.

Richard was that at Funtownrv in Wharton? Looked like their location. If so we just picked up our CC 38rd from them. Where you happy with them? We have been so far.

Picked up our new 38FL

Hi Tom, no, we bought ours from a dealer in Alberta, Canada. I have seen photos of the 38RD and have to say that it does look to be a very nice unit. Our dealer has one on their books now but I'm not looking, just in case I get the bug. Having a good dealer to help sort out the glitches is a big plus. Ours has been pretty helpful with the few things we found that needed some minor attention. We've had our 38FL a year and thoroughly enjoy it. Just counting down the days and hoping the weather stays mild so that we get an early spring.

If you meant me, yes. I bought it from Fun Town in Wharton. Not sure it was because my dad was the salesman or Fun Town is just that simple. But it took about 5 minutes to buy this thing.

But their location is nuts. Absolutely no room for anything. The land owner next to them tripled his price and now Fun Town is having issues expanding their location. But they refuse to buy from their neighbor due to principle. They already have 3 satellite yards that are full of units. There is now talk of them buying land across the road and building a proper service shop.

Congratulations on your new 38FL. We love ours.

The first thing you are going to want to do is get some steel wool and expanding foam around the opening next to the propane tanks to keep the critters out of that nightmare of wiring, plumbing and hydraulics. Also check around the base of your two sleeper sofas for openings. My wife was sitting at the dinette when we first parked our unit and told me she could see daylight at the base of the sofa. Sure enough, there were voids there. I have since stuffed steel wool in those areas.

I keep an ultrasonic pest repeller running full time and I have glue traps set everywhere and have had no problems yet. Knock wood.

Good luck,
Don

Yeah, sits in the first office on the left just as you walk in. I might be a bit bias but he is a very stand up person.

Matt, your dad is very responsive and communicates well. Nice to have someone that is more interested in what the client wants instead of just pushing product. Tell him hi for us.

We love ours because there's no overlap to the living areas. We like having a distinct living room, eat-in kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.....
