popping sounds

we have a Silverback 31RK, and we hear a popping type sound once in awhile, which sometimes feels like somone/something may have bumped into our unit. could that be the leveling leg on that side? (door side). we have the auto 6-pt leveling.

Maybe the Lippert Level-Up Stiction problems - see the detail sheets.

I have heard this works in most cases, but some not so much.

ping sound

So far I have put 2 quarts through this process. First quart was about 90% effective at first than got a little more often. 2nd quart about a month later has helped but have not been long enough to judge.

Get a pump of some type to extract and insert the oil. There was no way to get a device into the reservoir. Some designer never had to do this procedure.

ping sound

One more thing I have learned in this process.
The oil is really a motor cycle fork oil.
DO not go to Harley shop, as there oil is specific to Harley and thus not of the spec that Lipert required.
There is multiple weights so get the 15 as specified.
A quart here was $15.00.

Good luck, let us know how you come out.

By the way, the popping sounds hurt absolutely nothing. So if you can learn to ignore them, you'll be just as well off. I hardly hear them anymore except at night when things are real quiet!
