Porch lights and slide outs

Installed led strip under awning today. When testing light I touched the one wire to socket of porch light. This made porch light, and step light go out. Went to put in slides and won't go in from button in panel but will work from button in basement. Are these two connected or just a coincidence.

You most likely blew a fuse in the monitor/control panel. I'd check all the fuses.

All fuses good. Did notice the on/ switch is in the middle. Not up or down. Is it possible the switch blew with 12 volts

It's definitely possible that the switch is bad.
