Power management system

I was looking over my build sheet to make sure I have all my options checked. I looked at the 3rd air option. It says 13500 whisper quiet ducted 3rd air conditioner with power management sytem. What is that, and why only with the 3rd air? Is it a hard wired surge protector? Thanks

I don't think it's a surge protector- I think it has to do with balancing electric usage back to the third A/C to limit how many amps are pulled over one leg. But, I'm likely making that up.

Probably is something like that, when my sales person was talking to Nick at the factory I had him ask about a factory installed power management system (surge protector) and he said thats something I would have to do.

I doubt you have 3 ac units in a Cedar Creek, so that theory is out. And if you did, you can't run 3 at a time anyhow. Any units I've seen with 3 had a selector switch to pick which 2 you want to run

Kind of like my sabre with two microwaves.
It had a switch to switch between the two "one or the other"

I saw an option list on Couch's website and was surprised the 3rd AC was an option.

I would think running 3 AC's would pull more than 50AMPS so my guess is the PM is some kind of selector to run 2 of the 3.

50 amp service is really 2 circuits 50 amps each or 100 amp total. 45 amps no problem!
