question on my ice maker

on my 2013 CKTS the water supply for the ice maker is outside the unit on the back drivers side, under the slide ( stupid place for it but thats where it is ) now for the question, the person who installed the valve decided to break off of the push/pull handle right at the pu part so I do not know if its pull to open or push to open, I know I could just take off the line and find out but i am without tools on this so anyone have the answer I would really appreciate it.

push in is on pulled out is off,
the line is exposed to the outside of the rig on the ckts so it could freeze?

yep, about 18" of it is on the outside of the frame rail and exposed to the weather, my 2010 36re had it in the kitchen under the pull out drawer.

Any suggestions on winterizing the ice maker?

about the only thing you can do is wrap it with heat tape. as far as mine it probably will not be a problem in florida but the location was not my problem, after I found water dripping out from the slide I found that the water line was never properly installed and fell off the refrig. so turning on the valve was probably not a good idea, typical CC, in the past 3 days I found the water line fell off, paint issues on one slide, stress crack in slide wall, fantastic fan only works if I hit the wall above the thermostat , sealant missing on rear cap, interior trim loose. this after all the repairs done to it from my 1st trip. either I am the unluckiest forest river owner, as all three of mine in the past 3 years have had many trips for warranty work, or the rest of the owners just don't expect things to be right.

On the 38FL the Ice Maker line is outside under the slide. There is a low point drain on the line -- We used air to clear the system, leaving the ice maker on for a while. I did let a little bit of antifreeze into the system and then wiped out the trays.

Later this year we will pull the fridge out to put an air vent into the cabinet, and put a switch on the soleniod so it can be operated manually. This should help with winterizing next year.

At least you have one diagnosed, the fan, but seriously, after about a year or a few long trips you'll have most bugs found and taken care of. Good sailing after that, maybe not all smooth though!

already trying to trade it, had it for 8 months and too many little things keep happening for me to feel confident in the build quality

Sorry to hear we have had ours 8 months of full timing and had little things to but am extremely happy, small things are cheap and easy to fix. We had a new American Coach Heritage and spent more on repairs and fixes then I have in this trailer. For the dollar I don't think a Cedar Creek can be beat. All RV need things fixed I believe the difference is the level of fix, we went to a CC because of the DRV owners with big time problems. Sounds like a lot of your problems are from poor quality control, and I would definitely agree that's CC biggest problem. To many little things out of the hole that could have been avoided at the factory. Normal Rvers have more selections then us because we need at least three bunks so for us the CC is the best. Your never going to find a RV that don't need attention.

stress cracks in the gelcoat, paint bubbling on the slides, trim pieces falling off etc, are just a few this trip

top of kitchen slide, have dad 3 FR products in the past 3 years, they all got at least one.
