Refrigerator power

We have been in our RV for almost 2 years it is been set up and working full-time and I'm wondering about the refrigerator going on the battery and how to actually make it happen while we're driving and also if we do dry camping been a long time can't remember any info is greatly appreciated PS. It's the full-size refrigerator.

What's the brand and model of the fridge. I know you said it was a full sized fridge, but that doesn't tell us what it is.

Assuming it's a residential fridge. Do you know if you already have an inverter? If so, Do you know if it works?

It's a whirlpool mod#wrt111sfaf00
It has an inverter under stairs and three batts. and the red battery switch is off and I still want to know if the car runs the frigerator or helps charge the system when driving?

The inverter runs the fridge using the three batteries, and the tow vehicle should help keep the batteries charged when towing.

agreed! the refrigerator is 110 volt which is supplied by the inverter when not connected to shore power. the inverter gets its input power from the 12 volt batteries. when driving the the engine alternator will supply 12 volts to recharge the batteries. just make sure the inverter is on when not connected to shore power. simply open a refrigerator door to see if a light comes on. if so, it's getting power.

On that same message, how long will the batts. rum the refrigerator?, and what is the life of the batts. before you change them put?

There are really too many variables to know how long the batteries will run the fridge.
How old are the batteries?
How many batteries in parallel?
What is the Amp-hour rating of the batteries?
What temps will the fridge be operating in?
What other devices will be operating on the inverter?

So you see, there are many variables.
