Residental fridge in slideout

We have a 40CCK trailer and the Whirlpool refrigerator is installed on the slideout carpet and enclosed on both sides and the top. Cedar Creek in their wisdom removed all the levelling mechanism and the frig sits on four rollers. Hardly any space on top and none on the sides and you can feel the heat when you touch the frig. One side of the frig is straight up and down and the other side looks like it is on an angle. Looked at another unit today and its the same. Has anybody modified the slideout floor in that area and if so what did you do. I would think it would be the same problem in the 5th wheels as well as the trailers. It is an 18 cu ft Whirlpool, 2 door with a top freezer.

We have the same refrigerator in our 2016, 34RL Cedar Creek unit. In our unit the refrigerator is level and has space above the unit. We camped all year with this trailer and never notice any undo heating issues with ours.


Have you had your dealer look at the unit to see if something is incorrect? Have you personally contacted Cedar Creek reps over this issue?

Contacted Forest River. Service is totally useless. Said to contact the dealer who is even worse. Removed the piece of moulding that was stopping the fridge from coming forward and pulled the fridge forward . It helped with the heat problem but it still sits on an angle on the left hand side. Will probably have to figure out on my own.
