Residential Fridge

Question for the folks with the residential fridge.
When you picked up your 5er from the dealer, either off the lot or factory ordered, what battery set up did you get? I know the sticker says 4 6volt batteries required, just wondering if different dealers pull different tricks. What did your 5er come with??

Out GT came with 4 6volt batteries, which is the best way to go if you have a choice.

Mine came with 4 6volt batteries but they were the cheapest the dealer could put in. I plan to put in 4 6volt Trojans in this year with a bigger inverter, camper came with a 1000 watt inverter. I plan to install a 3000 watt inverter

Spock, just curious why you would need a 3000 watt inverter? From my research the inverter only powers the fridge and nothing else.

My dealer installed 4 6 volt interstate batteries but that was the requirement for the deal. I believe they intended to install 4 6 volts. I just wanted to make sure they had been interstate.

I had four six volt batteries as well. I was surprised because the other dealer I was shopping only included a single 12 volt.

You need to seriously increase ampacity of all included cables as well, AC and DC.

My dealer put in 1 12v in Aug. 2011 which was replaced Dec 2015. When the battery went bad with no warning. Not knowing any better I replaced it with 12v. After replacing battery found the converter was only putting out 9 v so replaced the convert also.
