That is funny! It's not exactly rocket science!
That 18 cu ft of cold storage is wonderful! I don't know what I'll think about it when I have to buy 4 new batteries!

If your fridge was getting warm after a 5 hour trip and you were plugged into your TV you have a problem. My first guess is that your inverter is turned off...

need more data. are the batts discharged, or just the fridge warm? need a good multimeter to check voltages at battery. if the batts are ok, check again with engine running. then check the invert outlet. report back here.

I have seen the E05 and OL error on mine, while it was plugged in. I think what was going on was that the auto defrost cycle was happening on the fridge and it sensed it as an overload, even though it should be no more than 500 watts during defrost, and maybe 150 during regular compressor use. It has always worked though. Give the fridge some time to get through the defrost cycle, and if the error is still there, turn off the DC (battery disconnect switch) and AC (unplug your trailer from the AC power source) to perform a restart on the inverter, then try it again.

What brand and model# residential refer are y'all getting. Seems I read somewhere that the 18CF residential is the same physical size as the Dometic 1350RM which is only 13CF. I know the regular propane refers are not the most efficient. When I bought my '12 CC, it was a dealer ordered unit which had not been delivered yet. I tried to get residential refer installed but my unit had already left the plant. Bummer!! Steve A. Dagro

Wire1946,
You can use your level-up panel to check your battery status. It has a built in meter.

Your battery wiring diagram is on the bulkhead behind the batteries as well.

If you want to be real thorough you might want to check the terminal lugs your dealer installed to make sure they are crimped tight.

Hope this helps.

We have a 38FL (2012) with the Residential fridge... Testing we have left the fridge on battery for up to 3 days so far (without much other use of the batteries). We have run dry camping all night and more than half a day without any problems. We did replace the WFCO inverter/charger with a Progressive Dynamics for better battery charging and maintenance.

Mine was wired up wrong and I had one lug with a bad crimp. It is the Dealers responsibility to do that work and there is the human error factor!

2x on ours being wired wrong..... The trip home from the dealer was 7 hours and the batteries were dead - but only two were wired to the inverter and the other 2 were wired into the charger.... but not the same two... so the two on the fridge at the time were not being charged at all. New wire and all fixed.

Nope. 18 Cu Ft is 18 Cu Ft. It is huge! Much bigger than any absorption type refer. No more cooler of ice for beer and water. It all fits in one refer! Yehaw!

Ok Joe GA. Let me see if I can explain myself better this time. I'll try to be grammatically correct as well. If you had a 13cf absorption and a residential 13cf sitting side by side, the absorption would be bigger because of the design.....I THINK. Can I fit the Whirlpool 18CF in the same hole as the RM1350 without major reconstruction? Also, any idea of cost of Whirlpool 18CF, inverter and 4-6V batteries. Definitely could use the 5CF extra. I am a self employed caterer and cant get out of the cooking mode to minimize my refer capacity. Steve

It looks to me the limiting dimension for the 18 cu ft will be height. Most are 66" or more in the Whirlpool line and the Dometic is slightly more than 63". Go to the manufacturers web sight and look at the specs for each, some will let you put dimensions in your search.
