I had the same thing happen to my 2015 Silverback, 33IK 5er 4 weeks ago, just got it back from the repair shop last week. I turned in a claim to my insurance (Gieco) and they covered every think.
We thought the frig was out but come to find out the inverter was fried not the frig.
Keep this in mind. The extended warranty does not start until the factory warranty runs out. And the factory WILL NOT cover power surge. Ask me how I know. My power surge happened the first time I plugged in the cable when I got the unit home. (First Time!!!)

Lucky! Go to and find a Progressive surge protector and order one. Best $300 ever invested. I say Techno because they were at the FR Rally. They are CHEAP (er) fast and know their stuff.
Had mine in 5 days. Comes UPS. No tax and free shipping.
I bought the portable unit for $305. Hard wired unit w remote display is $310.
