I had one on my 318SAB Cougar absolutely useless! The rack is rated to carry around 100 lbs and is mainly for caring bikes. I carried my wife's and my bikes just once. The rack has just a single support which allow the bikes to rub. I never used it again! When you spend decent money on bikes you do not need them to be beaten to death by the cheap bike rack the Cougar provided.

Our Shasta Revere had that, but we never used it. I thought we would use it to carry coolers, and our fishing gear, but never did. I just put the gear in the back of my truck when we went camping

Agree with JIM34RL, also had this on a 318SAB. Not really good for much. Not easy to move in and out, not a great bike carrier, just not worth it.

I don't want to carry anything on, I want to sit my Honda's on it at night when I dry camp at Walmart

Looks to me as a "not good for much" sales gimik. Personally I wouldn't want one. And as said before if it's only rated for 100lbs. that's really not much cargo.

I really wouldn't want to have 100lbs. on it and be traveling on I-75 between Toledo and Detroit! Anyone who has traveled that piece of interstate will know exactly what I'm talking about. Lets just say after that ride you wouldn't have anything on that rack, including the spare tire!

It should work fine for that! Putting cargo on it while moving down the road sound questionable.
