Thinking about installing a second AC, I have seen were others have added one but wondering if they are installing a ducted or non ducted.
I have a 2013 Silverback 29re.
Thanks.

On our Sabre 34tbok, I added a second 15K unit in the bedroom and ducted it. Everything was there and I just had to open two taped areas.

I think mine is the same way Stromsburg, do you like the ducted system and were there wires for the thermostat were the sticker says it is.

We have 2013 40CFK. Added 2nd unit and well worth. Our rig was pre-wired and ducted for the additional unit. Thermostat easily taught to recognize 2nd unit. Really helps on hot days.

That's odd. Just curious as to why they wouldn't duct a factory installed 2nd A/C?

Ours are both ducted. We keep the one in the bedroom flowing through the ducts since it's so low over the bed....it's a simple matter of closing the sliding vents on the ceiling face of the unit.

We close off the duct system for both units when we first set up at a camp site....it seems to cool off quicker if we're blowing the cold air straight down out of the units.

Love it! Cools the camper off from a hot days drive in minutes instead of hours. Wires were all there with 2nd stat prewired

Are AC wires in ceiling over bed behind the shroud?

Is AC #2 controlled from thermostat in kitchen? OR Are there wires somewhere in wall in BR? Looked behind light sw in BR....only light wiring (orange/white) Unit is a 2014 CC--29RE

In my Sabre there was a second thermostat already mounted in the bedroom. In the ceiling, behind a blank cover, I found the 120v romex line, a 12v line going to the closet light, and the thermostat wires. Just had to make sense of it all and hook them up to the right places on the AC. My camper had the "2nd AC ready" package

Had the 2nd fac air installed at build. WOW, helps cool that rig down in just minutes. Ducted means more quiet for us. That translates to: when mama 's happy............well, you know the rest!
