Sewer hose.

Just had a friend get a new Cedar Creek 38 CK this week.

He hasn't got on this site yet but I'll ask a question for him.

He wants to know where the rest of you store your sewer hoses.

Bed of the truck in a Rubermaid container along with black water hose for rinsing the tank.

Thanks. I gave this to him--I also told him I thought there was some storage space under the bed. Lol.

I have a few large Rubbermaid type tubs with lids we saw at Costco one day.

One is for sewer (all hoses are capped) another for fresh water, one for tools and one for misc stuff.

Take them out of the basement set up, put them back when I'm done.

There are very detailed instructions posted here by user doc73.

http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...der-88264.html

I just finished mine following most of his instructions. Only thing I did difference was move it further back under the frame where it's hidden just a little. I also used ⅛ inch flat steel plates mounted inside the fence post with bolts going through them to attached to the frame, meaning no outside brackets. Due to the "hidden" location, I installed 1.5 inch spacers between the post and frame on the working side is 1.5 inches lower in order for the "gutter holder" to clear the sidewall when moving.

Painted the post black and once the paint dried it took about one hour to install.

Many thanks to doc73 for his advice.

Mounted mine to the flange of the I-beams with SS bolts, nuts and fender washers. No holes in the frame. See attached.

A simple solution. I've seen similar things on trailers in some of the parks we've been to and wondered what they were for. Now I know.

Here's what I did to mine. It allowed me to use the OEM sewer hatch. I just removed the silly little tube they had behind there and replaced it with the vinyl fence post and a length of gutter insert.

This set up I like! I have not been able to use that compartment for anything! I like the idea of utilizing the original compartment with modifications!

Currently in my bumper but one of this winter's projects is to install the fence post storage underneath the frame.
