Side Mount Faucet in Silverbacks

Not sure if I'd mentioned this before, but figured I'd post in case there are some newer Silverback owners with the side faucet on the master bath sink. Several months back in my venture to replace all of the faucets in this fifth wheel, I came across this small Moen faucet that swivels. Pretty much like a small version of a kitchen sink faucet. It's a shade more convenient as I can swivel it out of the way for things such as shaving. The pictures show it in the both positions. I opted to put a similar faucet to this in the kids bathroom, that does not swivel, since they tend to play with things and I figured I'd be asking for trouble. I've toyed with the idea of gutting the master bath countertop and making some major changes, but for now, this little faucet works well.

When you replaced the faucets, did the Pex water lines lines match up to the Moen faucet without any alteration? DW wanted me to do this but I was afraid I would have to either shorten or lengthen the Pex and I didn't want to have to buy all the tools to do it.

I'm about 99% sure they would have. The way they run into the basement, they did have some give up and down so you should be fine. On ours, I cut / installed stop valves, or shut off valves at each faucet when I made the swap.

Pretty much anything you ever need or want with pex and a lot cheaper than than lowes or HD. Not a bad investment should you ever decide to make a few changes, or have to make some repairs like I have. I've swapped our quite a few of the plastic fittings for brass as I feel like it.

I changed ours out as well with longer-reach versions.. Certainly makes the sinks more user friendly. I went with a single-lever American Standard from Home Depot. As a bonus, they came with cable-actuated pop-up drains (only fit in the front sink though). The single lever setup required me to drill another hole, but it adds a touch of convenience for the side-sink design. Menard's has a half-turn shutoff valve that is 1/2" PEX to 3/8 MPT, so plumbing was snip, push, twist, done. The faucet had about 24" of hose out the bottom, so you'd have plenty of room to cut and recut the PEX if needed.

My DH also did the faucet change and we love it. Looking at your tile black splash, what did you on the top edge to Finish the edge? We have the tile and have already done the addition to the side of the stove and want to do behind the kitchen sink and the bath. The top edge of your tile looks really nice.

All I did was mask it off and run a bead of Geocel Proflex. That stuff holds up well in just about any application. Did the same in the kitchen.
