We have the 29 RE and our couch is on the dining room side, the slides are of equal size, and I don't think the couch is bolted down! Can't go out and check as it's winterized, slides in, and no battery in unit.

We have a 29RE also. Our unit came with the chairs on the kitchen side and the couch on the table and chairs side. We have switched them back and forth on occasion depending on unit orientation to the sun. They fit either place. Usually switch to original position before traveling. Not sure we would need to, though.

I have the 29RE also. The only thing bolted down was the dining table. The chairs and/or couch easily slides around for your happiness. Of course, I promptly removed the dining table & 4 chairs to use the space for my office/desk/computer!

Ohh... I should say this too! We've only had this Silverback for a little over 3 weeks and everyday I find another reason to LOVE this RV! Our previous XLR 35x12 toy hauler was nice too but everything was focused on the toys in the garage. The Silverback focuses on us... and we like that!

So far, I've only done a couple of minor mods -- a fastener to ensure the TV can't come off the wall & replace that crappy nitrogen in the tires with O2. And the Trav'ler I installed on the roof. And a new showerhead. Okay... so that's 4!

I hope you got the 6 point hydraulic leveling system! That thing brings a smile to my face every time I push the button!

It is kind of late for this reply but we just purchased a 2015 Silverback 291K and I think we have an answer to the original question. The couch is actually deeper then the slide on the kitchen side so the front legs would drag each time the slide would open or close.

I think you are right. As this is the thing I saw after we picked ours up. Hope you love your unit as much as we love ours.

Love the unit but not loving all the problems we've had. Hopefully they will be resolved soon and we can start enjoying it fully.

It is nice to hear positive comments about the 29RE and 29IK. We are looking to purchase a 2015 Silverback 29RE or 31RK. It really seems to fit all our needs. One question I have is how stable is the unit once it is leveled with the 6 point leveling system. We currently have a Cougar HC 299RKS and the movement really bothers my wife. So 6 point leveling and a king bed are a must...

I have the 29RE. Talked to a person in a campground in PA. He said the the six point leveling was nice and very handy but didn't not stop the movement. Was really considering the upgrade to mine 2010. Guess I will hear more if they do or don't. If not will get bars to stabilize. DW can drive u crazy if she wants to exercise.

I have move the camper arrangement ever way possible to maximize sleeping space when two kids were where.

I also carry a small deep freezer that I put in the dinette chair in the move.
