No one buying a NEW unit should be expected to climb on a roof, be knowledgeable about roof caulk points and do the work or pay to have it done. PERIOD. Something was missed in quality control. I am very thankful my bedroom slide issue was fixed by the factory. In my case there was NO caulk on water entry point. Stuff happens. Production managers cannot spot everything. That said, the factory should repair without hesitation.
FR, in my opinion, makes a decent unit. BUT, at these price points we need better quality control. It can happen! Ask the auto mfgrs who got their a** kicked by Toyota back in the day!
