Silverback basement undercoat

Has anyone found the tin work in the basement to be sprayed with sticky undercoat instead of paint? What ever I store gets it all over.

Mine is just painted. I wonder why an undercoating substance was applied to yours?

It looks like thick paint. But when you leave anything on it, it sticks too it. The kids balls have to be cleaned with alcohol too get it off. The other thing with the basement is, in front of the battery you can see the ground. I used tin and foam too fill the hole. I'm not sure if they are all like that or not.

J - I just checked my 2012 29rk and all I have in the basement is the standard black flexible lining around the sides and no undercoating on either the compartment ceiling or floor. No holes either.

Did you buy the unit used or new? If used perhaps the previous owner did something? Take it to your dealer - its sounds like your basement is fairly useless to you in this condition.

We bought it new in July it's a 2012 35qb4. It does look like paint but always tacky. Then the slide valve leaked while some of them turned off. The oil just dissolved the coating. Making bigger mess.

Just paint

Checked ours - it is just painted - took the foam to it and sealed up all of the cracks/gaping holes!

The stuff sticks too the kids toys, my water hose and anything else I leave in their. You would think they would use something that would dry better.
