Yes the gauges are next to worthless especially when it comes to the battery. And even more especially, a deep cycle battery.

The gauge indicates nothing more than static voltage. That voltage can show full bars even on a battery not up to snuff. It has no way of measuring voltage under load which is how a battery has to be tested. A deep cycle battery will show good static voltage throughout at least 2/3 of its discharge.

On of the earlier posters mentioned pushing the battery test button while operating the slides. That was excellent advice. Load the battery by using the slide pump motor and I'll bet the bars don't indicate full.

Thanks again for all the advice folks. Will do as suggested. Hope n pray it's just battery. Have a good holiday to all the fellow rver's! Let's take a moment to reflect on those who can't be home for the holidays, and to the families whose loved ones who won't make it home. Thank you and God bless!

Just got back from buttoning up rv. Battery was dead as a door nail. Did battery load pump test, went from reading fully charged to nothing. Put new battery in and brought in remaining slide..Just want to say thank you to all who helped me. It was depressing to come back to the city, but least I got something to look forward to.

According to instrument panel, battery showing full charge,
The panel will show a full charge battery when on shore power even if the battery is dead of not there.

Just got done reading all 7 pages of this post and I learned a lot. Stroker 06, glad that you got it figured out and got the slide retracted!! We will be ordering our CC early next year for a spring delivery. Now to file away all of your helpful information in this old, tired brain.

We've had ours since 09, got it brand new. Have had it's issues with this particular model, but that's just how it is. Dealer to care of all issues when it was under warranty. Now it's up to me to maintain and do regular service. As this ges for anything we own. Just my two cents.
