We've now had the same thing happen 3 times in our Wildcat. A small stone somehow gets under the edge of the slide and then when the slide goes out it gouges the vinyl plank flooring. We've tried filling the gouge with wax by rubbing a candle across the floor and then coloring the patch with a crayon, but it doesn't seem to work very well. I think we are going to try melting a brown crayon and pour it directly into the gouges and see if that works.
We now put a piece of foam across the entire length of the slide once it is retracted to try and keep any rocks from finding their way under it. So far, no more gouges have occurred but we fear it may just be a matter of time.
Best of luck to you and please let us know if you find a solution.
