Slideout beaker tripped
Hello Fellow RV'ers,
My 2014 Silverback 31RK just popped one of the breakers for the slides. We have had the unit since May, cycled the slides in and out at least a dozen times and have had no slide issues. The slides were in for the last 3 weeks and I extended them today to check the inside. I had to plug in the RV since the battery was dead - need to remember to throw the battery disconnect going forward. After verifying that all was OK, I retracted the slides. The bedroom slide and the dinette slide came in OK but the living room slide only came in about half way. After reading about slide breakers for 10 minutes, I reset the tripped one and the slide came in the rest of the way.
This is our first RV with slides so I am kinda like a new parent. Not sure if a trip to the ER is needed or just calm down, drink a beer and be happy it was an easy fix.
Thoughts anyone?

At my PDI, the dude told me not to bring in (or out) all 3 slides without letting the system rest for about 10 seconds along the way. So I bring in the bedroom slide, pause 10 sec, then bring in a living room slide, pause 10 sec, then finish. Same thing when I put the slides out. The maintenance guy said the breaker can overheat and trip if you do them all without pausing.
I don't think you have anything wrong. Just try this procedure for a while and see if it doesn't fix your "problem."

Geez. We bring in all 4 slides without stopping, then the level up jacks. Never had an issues with anything tripping in 8 months now. Now that it's mentioned, it'll probably trip next time I bring them in.

Ken, Where did you find the breaker that tripped? For your sides and where all the slides ran through that breaker?.......

Should be in the front storage. 1 hydraulic pump runs all slides and level up system on the silverbacks.

The breakers are accessed through the front storage compartment. On the right there is a cover that can be opened with a label on it, "slide mini breakers". Open this door and on the back wall are 3 breakers, one for each slide. There is a spot for a fourth and I assume if I had auto leveling, that would be populated. I can take a picture today if that would help.

I haven't looked close at ours, but trying to figure out why you would have 3 breakers for 3 slides that are all run off of one pump, one solenoid, one switch? Common hydraulics running to all 3 slides, least resistence goes out first followed by the others. If it were 3 slides on 3 different switches, I'd say ok.
A picture would be nice.

With the battery low, the converter may have been using most of its available current to recharge battery. If battery is low again, i would let it charge the battery for a little while before moving slides.

A picture would definitely be appreciated. My 36ckts is setting stranded right now unable to bring the slide outs in and I feel that it is due to these breakers being tripped. I am not sure where to look in the compartment and of course Lippert is closed on the weekends, go figure, when most rv'ers are out and about.

Look in the very front / storage basement under the fifth wheel overhang. If you open the cargo door and are look in, look towards the right / driver's side. There are numerous wires and resettable breakers in that area near the level up / slide out pump. Ours has a panel covering these which is easy to move out of the way.

Thanks! I was able to get to the access panel where the mini breakers are but my problem is I don't know what I'm looking for when it comes to mini breakers.

I'm not exactly sure how the Cedar Creek's look, but I think it's a resettable breaker. The ones I'm familiar with are tiny gray colored squares with a tiny black reset button on the side. To be honest I haven't studied mine hard enough yet, and I'm not home to take a picture of it.

That helps a lot just knowing more about what to look for. From what I can gather there is no reference to these in any of the documentation or owners manuals. I will be getting back to the coach this weekend. Had to get back to reality so the wife could go back to work. Luckily we were only about a hundred miles from home and the campground owner said we could leave it disconnected for $3 a day!! Thanks for the assistance!! Being retired Army, I'm use to things breaking and not having mfg support lol. I was a M777 Howitzer platoon sgt and we were use to technical difficulties!!

You've got me curious enough now, so when I get home Wednesday, I'll be looking myself. May post a few pictures just for comparison of the Silverback to the Cedar Creek. I've just glanced at ours, but hadn't really disected everything. You're correct on the documentation. I've only owned one that actually had detailed electrical and plumbing drawings, and it wasn't built by Forest River.

After a 3 week rest, none of the 3 slide outs work. Not even a click. All other utilities works fine. Battery ( 2 x in parallel) fully charged. Tried to locate in-line fuses etc. but no luck. [Flagstaff Ultra Light 8528 RSWS 5th wheel]. Any suggestions ? and thank you !

ready2retire, first off, welcome to the forum. I see this is your first post. In your case, I would suggest posting your question in this section:
Flagstaff - Forest River Forums
You will get a lot more input from owners of that specific unit.
You can also send a private message to users Herk7769 or OldCoot. They both own Flagstaff / Rockwood fifth wheels and are very knowledgeable of these units and where stuff is at.
You should have 2 Lippert electric slides, and the front wardrobe should be a BAL Accuslide.
