Slides went out but wont come back in

2016 Cedar Creek 34RL with Hydraulic slides and level up system. I opened up the RV for the 1st time this spring and extended the slides out. I used the remote but dont think that has anything to do with it, When I went to close it up the motor does not run when I hit the switch inside or outside switch. The motor runs when I hit extend. The leveling still works in both directions . Can you extend too far and cause it not to retract? Any help would be appreciated .

P.S. I read a post from yesterday but my motor does run in both directions when I run the levelers up and down.

It appears that your jacks/leveling system is working but not the slides. Here is what I would check:
1. The batteries. Are you on shore power and are the batteries fully charged and in good shape?
2. It may be a breaker; when you check may sure you check the micro breakers in the forward storage compartment (behind the king pin). They are very small and can be hard to find the first time you look.

Good luck.

2. I found the strip with the breakers (3 breakers) and they are ok

Is there a way to bypass the solenoid that reverses the motor to test that?

My unit has a large switch next to the hydraulic motor to operate the slides (I think, not sure), check for that if you haven't already.

I had same problem last fall,on solenoid mine has a orange/white wire on one side and a white on other side, reverse these and try the rocker switch, if it slides come in then your control board is bad. New one around $230.00 or they can rebuild yours for around $35.00 I have a 2015 Cedar Creek 36ck.

Did you try the remote to put the slides back in?

There have been reports here of awnings acting the same after using the remote. I don't have the remote system so I can't verify.

Here is a very simple solution that may or may not be the problem. There are two switches inside the coach on the panel for the lights, heaters and slide controls. One switch opens and close the slides the other switch turns off the slides so, they wont open or closed. Maybe that switch was turned off by mistake. I would check to see if that switch has been turn off by accident.

I do know that the slides will not work with that switched in the off position.

Please tell us what you find out is the problem so, others can resolve their issue if similar.

Thanks for the tip Gary. I swapped the wires and the slides came in. So May I ask, when you say control board , do you mean the solenoid the wires are on or where is this control board thats bad and where did you take it to get rebuilt?

Check to make sure your switch in is the on position, before you operate the slide. (It may take 2 switrches) as others have mentioned.

When battery charge is low, slides get balky. Sometimes they blow fuses. Check the circuit. I am going to find a resetable fuse for my number one circuit which has the slide on it.

Keep your slide rails clean.

The ATC controller is notorious for relay failures. I have had to replace/refurbish twice in three years.

This last time, a couple of months ago, my dealer ordered a new one, and he said ATC were not making these any more and only had 7 left in stock.

I guess next time it fails, will have to make my own relay panel...

I called ATC today and tech support had my model in stock. (RLM-01). H
I am going to send the bad one in for repair and he said it cost $30.00 plus shipping and I will have a spare.
