Hey All
I am posting this for a fellow Cedar Creek'r.
They Have a 2008 model about a 33ft 5th wheel. They have an awful
odor from the fridge / furnace area. They have had the vents cleaned, plumbing checked, no signs of leaks or stains in the carpet or floor. The smell is very noticeable when the furnace first starts. You can also smell it in the pass-through on the same side as the fridge.
I was thinking something is leaking from the fridge coolant or...? It is not a propane smell it is more like an ammonia or urethane smell.
Someone suggested a rat in the drain pipe or something dying in the grey tank but then why the strong smell when the furnace kicks in...???
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated as they have lost sleep over it and had to spend a couple nights away already.
Wondering what is used in the fridge for coolant now..? They think...not sure thought they saw a pinkish colored solution one time but never again.
