Smelly hot water

Took the trailer out for the first time in almost a year , sanitized the water system as always. Hot water smells bad . Need ideas how to get rid of the smell. Thanks

Most folks suggest replacing the magnesium or aluminum anode with an aluminum/zinc rod. The zinc is supposed to prevent the rotten egg smell.

I'm on a phone currently, but if you will look in the FAQ subsection of our forums under water heaters...there a five videos stuck at the top provided by suburban. One of those videos explains the causes and cures of the rotten egg smell.
