Smoke & Carbon Alarms

I have had my new Cedar Creek for 8 months, and stupidly never checked the smoke, and carbon dioxide alarms, last night I checked them and there was plastic between the batteries and the contacts so they weren’t working. Pure stupidity and oversight to have never checked them on my part. So reminder to check your alarms.

Lol! That same thing happened to me; took the plastic tab out of the smoke detector in the middle of first season. I was just as shocked as you that I had never opened it up previously, just assumed that the dealership would have had the detector functioning prior to pick up and during the prep. Guess I was wrong ( and stupid to not have checked).
Bought and installed a second gas detector before our first trip though...... go figure.....

Same thing happened to me. Took me a year to find out when I went to replace my batteries when I De-Winterized. One more gripe my dealer just shrugged at. Charged for PDI and Annual Inspection; yet never found the shrink wrapped batteries.

There is a reason I am here...
