True....for some reason my dealer balked at putting LT tires on my new Silverback...told them no deal then....I had just put new tires on my old rig so we made a deal that they would meet me at a tire dealership and they would allow me to have the tires swapped............Now as far as G-614's.....I have looked at several cities on Discount tire and all show not available at this time and on Tire Rack they aren't even listed????????.....not sure what's up with that.....seemed to be a good tire and out of all the people who have had them I have never heard of a problem....unlike the hundreds of cases of their Marathons blowing up....

I have read all this.........new info to me........and appreciated.....and we're in market for a new Cedar Creek 5'er.

I send some of this to my salesman and I get told this is all wrong, that the whole industry stopped using Goodyear tires, and he sends me a bunch of attachments to read. However, they APPEAR to be only a discussion of stopping using LT type tires, NOT a discussion about stopping using Goodyear.

I told him that the tires in this thread were ST type tires, and so what's wrong with them?

He just gave me Cedar Creek's number and said "Call them, they will explain it to you".

First, I'd be surprised if they'd discuss that with me...........but second, what is going on here? Too many actual satisfied users of these, per this thread (and even such things as Amazon customer reviews) for these to be banned by the manufacturer or some such.

Can someone enlighten me???
Yes the factory will discuss things with you call the number provided. I had some questions on my unit when I purchase my camper in Feb of 15 and the sales people from the factory answered my questions.

Now as far as Goodyear tires being an option for the Cedar Creek in late 2015/early 2016 these where not offered. I have a price list from the factory dated Jan 2014, and also Feb 2015, and the Goodyear tires are not on the list. We ordered our new Cedar Creek in Feb 15 and received an early 2016 34RL, in May with the WestLake Tires installed. I have put on over 8,000 miles on these tires last year with no issues what so every.

When we received the trailer I did an internet search on WESTLAKE tires to find out the reviews on them. From what I could find out they have had very good reviews. I also could not find anything in the NHTSA data base doing a search for tire issues on Cedar Creeks or Silver Back trailers using Westlake tires.

Now I looked at the new Cedar Creek, the Champagne Edition and it looks like the G614 comes standard on them. I looked at Lazy Days website

Aren't those 17.5" tires and rims now not the old 16" tires and rims?

I had the Westlake tires on my 30RL and they seemed like good tires. The 32RL which I have now have the G614 and I brought this camper in March of last year. I have seen a 36CKTS at Carolina RV in Myrtle Beach, it's a 2015 model and a 2016 sitting beside it with the Westlake tires on the 16 and the G614 on the 15.

On the Lazy Days website it says G rated, I thought the 17.5 was H rated. I looked at the Goodyear site and only the 16 was G rated, the 17.5 was H rated
