Stale water odor in 07 Silverback

We have a "new to us" 2007 Cedar Creek Silverback 30LSTS. Since we have owned it, we have noticed a stale water odor as soon as we open the door to enter. I have wracked my miniscule brain with this situation.
It has a washer-dryer combo unit. Tonite I checked the vacuum breakers in the kitchen and under the lavatory. Both are in good condition and operate properly. The only thing I can see is that the odor may be coming back thru the washer drain. It appears there is no trap in the drain line. The only way for me to tell for sure is to tear out a wall. I would appreciate your comments.

PS: closed up in the toilet room, there is no evidence of odor. Thanks, in advance.

CAn't you just stuff a rag or something in it to block it and see if it makes a difference?

Thanks for the suggestion. I stopped by the HD today and purchased three air admittance valves. Installed one on the washer/dryer drain line and replaced the ones at the lavatory and kitchen sink. Will see in a few days if that improves the smell. Thanks again.

The air admittance/check valves have not reduced the amount of odor. Maybe someday we will find the source. I will follow up if and when we do. Thanks, Dennis

Is it possible that you have, or have had, a water leak somewhere? Is that smell musty? I would check all areas that are susceptible to water intrusion. (Roof, slides, windows, etc).
Since you are in Louisana and always have high humidity, try a hanging package of DampRid. That always took the stale, damp, odor out of the cabin of my boat.
Another cure might be to install a dehumidifier in your RV. A lot of us use them at different times of the year. Mine is a smaller sized unit that I purchased at Lowe's.
Good luck resolving your problem and keep us updated on your success.

FordHauler you are correct. The dealer found a soft spot in the bedroom slide floor. They pulled the slide and replaced the floor. They did not replace the carpet. That may be the problem. We will be using it this weekend so we should be able to pinpoint the problem. Will pick up some DampRid tomorrow. Thanks for the suggestion. Dennis
