Sticker Weights

I have ordered a new Cedar Creek and added a factory installed washer and dryer. I want to confirm that the sticker weights on the unit are based on a weighing of that actual unit and will include the weight of the washer and dryer etc and not a generic weight for that model. Just want to confirm what I was told. Thanks.

It may or may not be weighed, but either way, the factory-supplied stickers will be specific to your unit and the options that you had factory installed.

Yes, the final stop at the factory has a scale and the unit is weighed before it goes out the door. The propane bottles are empty and no battery either so you have to add that weight to the sticker on the door.

Here's a picture of the final station, hard to see but there is a scale in the floor.

It is easy to stop by a commercial weigh station and get your weight checked. Weigh your truck first without the trailer. Then come back when you have your trailer and have them weigh each axle. Then you will know what your true weights are. I had to have a certified weight to register my trailer for tags. It was pretty much spot on with the factory sticker.

What was most helpful was knowing how much of the trailer weight was sitting on the truck's hitch.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have already made plans to stop and get the rv weighed on my first outing. I have just been estimating (based on what we carried in our previous unit) what I might be adding. Thanks again for everyone's help.

My TT showed 300 pounds lighter on the Cat Scale.
