Switch of models / floorplan?

Ok, we went to a dealer today to do a "decision time" viewing of the 36rd5s which we had been considering. When we got there, it was labeled as a 36rd. The dealer said it was a floorplan change for 2012 (although all the ones we had seen so far were labeled as 2012) that one of the bedroom slides had been done away with. All of the brochures at the dealer, including one in the microwave of the RV showed the old floorplan. Everywhere I see it online shows the old plan. Did they really do away with the 36rd5s or was he just steering me to another unit?

When I bought my Wildcat in 2011 it was a 25RL.
Now it is in the Extralite Catagory and it is called a 252RL and the floorplan has changed. So they probally did do away with it.
Part of the ongoing changes they always make is to sell new units.
You can possibly find a new 2011 yet in that floor plan if they still have some out there they haven't sold.

All manufacturers can change their lineup so its possible he's telling the truth. You might do best to call FR directly to talk with someone to verify.

My advice is the same for anyone buying a new trailer and that is to buy the floorplan you like. If the local dealer can't get the 36rd5s that you like; than shop around but don't settle. It might be a little more work now but you'll be happier in the long run.
