TV = 2014 Ford f350 dually

My new F350 dually lariat is driving me crazy. The darn center cap on the rear aluminum wheel keeps falling off...twice now. At over 164 bucks at dealer to replace, I guess I have to leave them ugly axle covers show on my new 70k truck...yuck. I can't believe they use those cheesy little spring clips to hold on a big chrome center cap. They don't even have a spring clip for each lug nut. I'm fuming over this. Anyone else dealing with this crazy issue? Looking for a good replacement?

Hadn't had that luck with ours. Last 2 F-350's had the caps, first one had steel wheels and simulators. I suppose I've gotten lucky. I would actually rather have steel wheels and simulators on mine, but it came with the aluminums. I prefer the steels as you can put any wheel in any location. Not so on the aluminums at all, unless you remove tires.

At least in Heaven, RVs will be perfect, and I won't have to keep fixing them.

I had a 2011 dually and now have a 2015 dually and have never had a cover come off.

They fall off at work due to too much heat we have found out. Do you have a break problem or parking brake sticking creating heat

Wish it had the steel rims also. I have 6k on it and the passenger side rear has never fell off. The left side is the culprit. No heating issues I know of. I drove 3k miles on the original and no problems...so I baffled on this. The only thing I know is to replace the short lug nuts with longer ones an try another another expensive center caps. At least it can move a little before falling off. The only other option is to replace the wheel with custom wheels. I wish they made more after market option for this style of rim.
