Updated Cedar Creek/Forest River website

Finally saw some updates on the Cedar creek website. One of the things I noticed is they list 17.5 tires with a "G" rating as standard. Didn't know they made a 17.5 with a G rating but I'd be good with that. Several other small features were listed as well. About time.

A new brochure is up too. I'm looking through the brochure and website now.

I wonder what brand the 17.5" tires are. The Westlake tires didn't give me much confidence.

A 200W solar panel is a new option.

me too, they mentioned it when I went down and saw mine on the line a day before it was done. I thought maybe it was a few months down the road. Oh well.

Mine has the new front cap and new logo to my wife's disappointment! So as part of the deal, they are sending us the "Bear Logo" and we are having it put on the rear of the unit, since there is a lot of open area there.
"Happy Wife = Happy House" Yes, I am well trained!

yes, I would have liked to have the old style, 12 gal or so.

We'll see how it works, maybe spring break time.

They use gas only. When I get a new Cedar Creek I will get the gas/electric one. I want a new Cedar Creek 36CKTS one day

Has anyone gotten the 17.5" wheels yet? We are getting close to ordering our 36ckts for early Spring delivery and definitely want them.

I hope the on/demand works, Wildcat tried and found out it didn't work to good. They work in houses great and I plan to put one in my home but not in a camper. The refrigerator is the same way, the electric one is cheaper than the gas/electric one. The 12gl gas/electric hot water heater cost more than the on/demand one does.

I thought this was only on the Silver Back units that received a new logo and front cap. The Cedar Creek still retains the dark cap with the covered bridge and the year the line was introduced. At least this is what I am seeing on the two new units that my dealer received this fall. They have a new Cedar Creek 34RE and a 36CKTS on the lot that we looked at when our unit was being serviced this Nov.

What does the logo and cap look like on your unit?

That very well could be, I can't remember what the 2015 front logo looked like. I assume it was possibly a new logo, because I looked at the newest bouchure and it was what I have.

It's on the Silverback. My 2015 had oxidation and fade 14 months after build. Repaired in Georgia Within 60 days and 2 bear decals that failed to take, we went to the factory in Goshen and opted for the lighter 2016 cap which the factory agreed to. There was a mix up and no new brown caps were available. We could have gone home with the old cap and waited 2 weeks for a newly processed brown cap to be shipped to a Georgia dealer. While at the factory, they showed us an extra 2016 new look cap. We chose that.
We are ok with the look. It's more about slowing any oxidation and preserving the clean look than any other reason. This Silverback will be our last fifth wheel and we PLAN on keeping it for the foreseeable future.
At age 73; MAYBE, another 3 years left in the leisure of towing this rig. Likely keep it in Orlando or south as a winter destination or exit the recreation side altogether. Time and health will dictate that decision.
Our trip to Goshen was NOT only the cap. We had leaks and defective a/c and wood trim issues. We also had a slide gouging our dining room floor. A special hand crafted skid plate was made and installed to prevent this from repeating. We also had a bad black tank seal. Just say'n! Trip was not only for the cap!!

According to CC, the 17.5" rims and tires was a misprint. That combination is only on the 38FL6 with 8,000 lb axles. All models with 7,000 axles come with 16" rims and tires.
