Valance
Hi, I have a 2015 36CKTS that after some real rough roads the entire assembly of pull down shades over the two rocker/recliner chairs fell down. Looks like it broke the plastic mounting holders.
Anyone know how to take the valance down and where can I get replacement holders?
Thanks...Bill

The valances are just held on by maybe 4 or 5 screws. You may have to hunt for them as a couple will be buried into the cloth material. Poke around with something sharp until you find them.

You can get more brackets from Cedar Creek, if there is two brackets on that shade then install three brackets. All the shades downstairs fell, some twice. After some fell twice Orvan advised me to do that. The brackets over the back window fell and Orvan installed four brackets where originally there was three. It takes a long bit to put up the shades at the top, a number 2 bit. I think they are Robinson bits, square bits

Did you travel with your shades down before you put in the other brackets? We travel with our shades up and haven't had any problems yet.

We always travel with the shades down. The entire roller assembly with the shade and sun screen is fairly heavy. Too much for two small plastic brackets to hold. The road we were on was extremely rough and that is probably why they broke.
I’ll contact cedar creek to see if I can get enough replacement brackets to put up three or four

We travel with our up also, and haven't had any issues (knock on wood). It's good to know what Orvan's solution is.

Here’s a picture I found on Irvine Shade and Door website. I contacted Cedar Creek and was told they no longer have in stock these brackets.

It seems to me that if the shades were up then they couldn't swing and put more pressure on the brackets while traveling. We travel with them up and have had no problems.

We have no problems with them down since we installed more brackets. Orvan fixed two of our shades and never said anything about keeping the shades up when traveling, two years apart

I assume you have installed seat belts and they wear them while traveling in the fifth wheel?

Received replacement brackets from Irvine Shade. Replaced the brackets and rehung the shades. Don’t won’t to do that again.

I have to ask how many brackets was on the shade that fell? I found out if there was two brackets holding up a shade then install three. Some of our shades fell twice, even the one that Orvan Fry fixed. The last one that Orvan installed he added another bracket. Someone on here said to drive with the shades up
