yes, more then once.
You can disconnect lines from filter and use a double male connector.
Or go to your local RV store and buy replacement. Also camping world. I think , I only paid $39.00 for the last one I bought.
If you do a few searches, you'll find those casings break pretty often plus the replacement filters are way overpriced. I removed the filter from mine and just leave it as an empty see-thru receptacle. Then I use a separate filter (that I bought at Lowes) attached to my water hose. Replacement filters are about $5 each at Walmart or Lowes. We swap them out once a month to keep our water nice & clean.
Since yours is already broken, I'd just take it out of the system and buy yourself a stand alone filter.

From the troubles posted here, I'm not going to use the internal filter. Using the blue one from Walmart, replace once a year, use it on end of hose to filter water tank, then hook up to camper to street water connection. Water damage not covered on warranties I'm told.
Here's the setup I use. Granted mine is different from most I see. Most folks seem to use the blue in-line filters you find in RV stores. I bought a house water filter at Lowes, attached the proper fittings for garden hoses, and cut up a plastic flower pot as a base for it.

Camping world had this (see picture) in the master catalog. It is a comparison of what is on the market. See which one fits your needs. The selling point for me was the "flow rate"checked out the flow numbers.
For a exterior disposable in-line filter. I prefer the Camco Taste Pure and Wal Mart has the for $9.99.
Hope this helps
oodles and oodles of posts in here about those horrid filters...most people state....remove it, bypass it, and install one on the exterior if you really want one....do a search on these forums,,,there is enough reading on it to last you a couple evenings!
