Water heater

We have a 2016 33ik and the water is not very hot. Any ideas if and/or where to adjust the temperature on the water heater?

Most water heaters do not have a temp adjust, but check to insure that the water heater bypass is not in bypass mode( valve should be perpendicular to water line). Also make sure the faucets in the outside shower are both off.

Most common causes:

1. WH bypass valve on
2. Outside shower valves on

Most RV water heaters have fixed temperatures.

Do you know the model # of your water heater?
It helps to post this information when asking about an item where there are many different models/manufacturers of.

With that said, unless it is an on demand heater, they are usually not adjustable.

Most of the 'my water is not hot enough' issues come from the bypass valves on the water heater being turned incorrectly allowing mixing of hot and cold water -or- an outside shower where the valves are open and the shower head is shut off allowing mixing of hot and cold water through the shower head.

I would agree with bikendan check the bypass, my son needed help winterizing and when I started to show him how I found the bypass was already on. When I showed him he asked what it did then he said probably why I wasn't getting really hot water. Next year I will go set it up for him and see if it helps.

Is this a tankless water heater or a traditional water heater?

All three lines behind the hot water heater are pointed down the lines. Is that how they should be? I checked and the outside shower lines are off.

If you are talking about the valve handles being inline with the water lines the one water line that is connected between the other two should have its valve handle perpendicular to that line. The other two are correct for normal operation. When you winterize just reverse the configuration of all three. That will by-pass the water heater.

Take a picture of the lines. The bypass should make a tee when it's closed and to get hot water you need to close it. Otherwise it acts as a mixer valve and cold mixes with hot so you get only warm water.

Ok, so top valve handle in line, middle perpendicular, bottom in line? Sound right?
