Water pump issue

We have a 18 33IK and opened it up for the summer this w/e. The campground had water pressure issues so we decided to fill the tank and use the pump. All was well until sometime in the middle of the night when the pump started running. Got up and shut it off, in the am turned it back on and had no pressure. In the end I had to self prime the pump by back feeding the water into the pump from the antifreeze hose. Once there was water in the pump it started drawing from the tank again.
I know there was a previous post about the check valve system and how to clear/reset in these pumps but cannot locate it.
Any ideas?

You might look for a leak ... if the pump started running in the middle of the night on its own your system lost pressure for a reason. Once you got it primed ... does it cycle on and off for no reason now? Did someone turn the city water valve away from gravity inadvertently?

This worked for me "You may be able to clear the problem. Disconnect City, release all pressure, turn pump on with cold water open (anywhere). Shut water off. Wait until pump stops, turn pump off. Release pressure. Reconnect city."
