WaterPur Filter

I have a WaterPur filter that takes a KW1 filter. The local CC dealer doesn't have any ist here a replacement that works other than the filter from WaterPur? Thanks

Nope.

I just use an inline filter on the hose so I don't have to worry about their proprietary filter. Thinking about replacing the Waterpur with a unit from Home Despot...

I used the ones from Home Depot/Lowes for a while. (Before I removed it completely and installed an expansion tank in its place).

Just so you know, the "correct" one has a larger pore size so it does not reduce the water pressure as it filters. If you try to use the same size filters from the home store, ONLY buy the "sediment" filters and never the ones that remove impurities. The pore size is so small they clog almost immediately at campgrounds that use well water.

I now use the Wal-Mart exterior filters and put a new one on at the start of season.

Thanks for the replies. I will get an external from WalMart. I like the idea of adding an expansion tank in place of the existing "internal" filter system............it'll cut down on pump cycles when I'm on the tank supply. Thanks again.

FYI I later upgraded the small Shurflo tank with a 2 gallon one.
Since THESE photos were taken, I added a shutoff valve to keep RV antifreeze out of the pressure vessel. After draining the system; I close the valve before adding the antifreeze.

Thanks Herk7759,

I like the system.....since I moved from South Dakota to Florida last year I'm hoping antifreeze is a thing of the past!
