Sounds like you either have control box or thermostat issues. I've had a couple get "confused" and had to be replaced. In our Forester, the AC had erratic behavior and couldn't decide what to do. Replaced control box and t-stat in it. In our Silverback, recently replaced the control box as it go to clicking a bunch like it couldn't decide what to do. Replaced, now all works fine, for now.

I took a video with my phone when the AC was acting up, that way I had PROOF that it was doing what I said it was doing. As usual, the dealer couldn't replicate the problem, but, had watched the video and replaced the control box.

While it sounds like a component acting up it could be simple. Is there an air vent blowing right on the thermostat? That could cause it to short cycle. The short cycle could also cause it to start up when the compressor has not cycled through and cause warm air to flow for a while.

I had a problem with my A/C's short cycling like every three or four minutes. I replaced the Dometic Comfort Control 2 thermostat and that did the trick. These thermostats have a 1 and 2 degree on/off set point differential ONLY in the Furnace heat mode, not the cooling mode. Wish they would put a good Honeywell thermostat in these units, it would solve a lot of problems like this. The Dometic Comfort Control 2 thermostats are cheap made. If it is not your thermostat then it is in the A/C.

What's bad is the comfort control 2 is the cats meow compared to what the silverback has.
