Weight capacity of front storage

Anyone have a clue as to what the weight capacity is of the front storage compartment of a 36ckts?

I have never heard of a separate weight capacity for under storage on any unit?

Just the max cargo/capacity rating on the unit itself. obviously more weight up front effects pin/tongue weight more then weight in the rear.

I put 2 55 gal smokers in there and it has a little bit of flex when moving them around. I looked under it and there is no support beams. I thought it would have been a generator location, but not without added support. Just curious as to weight limits so I don't mess something up.

That compartment is just steel with no real reinforcement. The flex could be mitigated with some plywood, that is what I did with my Rockwood.

I carry about 100 to 150 LBS of cargo in my front compartment of our 34RL Cedar Creek. I have my 6-gallon pancake air compressor+ air hose, tool box and tools, axe and wood blocks, pads for the hydraulic legs, grease and rags for the king pin, firewood, sewer cleanout hose equipment and a broom. I have never had any flexing or issues with this compartment or any other 5er compartment that carried the same items in my older trailers.

Dealer told me it has a 200 pound max. Just abs plastic and a few pieces of angle iron holding it up.

Now days not much in the front compartment but one time I put four six volt batteries in it plus a twenty lb propane tank. Plus tools, I never noticed anything

I'm almost positive that the weight capacity of my front storage is over a million pounds. In the basement, it's two million.

LOL

I don't know. I do believe that the Silverback and the Hathaways have totally different basement and storage composition. One of the few advantages of the Hathaway is the way the frame and the basement is done.

I am not sure of the weight but I have a CC Champagne 38EL and it has a generator. The generator has a box that is sealed so no exhaust leak will get into the living area. Not sure if the bottom of the compartment is reinforced but it looks like the entire floor is made of 1/8 inch steel or something close. It is real solid. I put my tools beside the generator compartment in the front and it seems real solid.

I ended up covering the bottom with plywood and it seemed to do the job. Hauled it that way 2 times without any issues
