FR will not offer a upgraded tire from what they come from the factory with. The reason is that would mean that FR is not putting on the best tire for your unit. This question was asked at the Factory Tour to the Rockwood rep. and that was his answer to about 35 people taking the tour...

I know our 2010 Cedar Creek came with the Good Years on them now our new River Stone Legacy has the 17.5 Good Year H rated tires but the lower River Stone will come with Walker tires, which I never heard of before

I wounder where Lion Head comes up with these brands? I never heard of them before either. Lion head lets say is getting there Lion share of business from FR. IMO which really means nothing is that Lion Head probably supplies 90% of rims and tires to FR.

Wouldn't be a "bomb" if it didn't explode. A TPMS and regular inspection/maintenance are your friends. Much easier to yell "CHINA BOMB" than to admit to neglect.

That said, does this mean all tires are created equal? No.
Do manufacturers use the best tires available? No.
Do all tires manufactured in China blow up? No.
Do peeps who use TPMS and regular inspection/maintenance have tires that fail? Yes, but they usually don't "explode" without warning.

Like other worn out/misused/socially unacceptable labels in society, this China Bomb stuff is getting old...

I just will not buy tires made in China for my truck or camper or my DW Mercedas. I run the correct tire pressure in the tires and check the tires with a digital gauge monthly. I have a TPMS on all the tires. Some things you have to take care of,

I really think the reason Cedar Creek uses the Chinese tires is because they are CHEAP

I have discussed with George Oliver, CC'S warranty manager. He has been very helpful agreeing to cover damage to RV from tread separation. However he defends Forrest River decision to u s e them.

I would not expect any other response.

The ISSUE: why not offer upgraded tires in the build out? I surely would have paid more for the best quality available.
