You can buy Dexter Vault hubs that don't require annual checks either. Until you get those and while using regular tapered wheel bearings, the Lippert and Dexter manuals spec yearly service intervals.

You should be pulling your drums yearly anyway to inspect your brakes. Might as well look at the bearings while you have it off. BTW, Lippert wants yo to pull your drums to inspect your brakes at the same interval as inspecting your bearings.
I own 3 double axle trailers and one single axle trailers. The TT gets annual inspections, the two boat trailers get less often(every two years) except being jacked up and spinning the wheels to hear if there is anything going on. One of the boat trailers has disc brakes so they get inspected easily. They each get less than a 1000 miles annually. The TT gets a LOT more miles on it hence the reason to do it annually.
