No. The oven is designed to be vented in or out. There is a procedure to change the vent from interior to exterior. Check your owners manual in installation section.

Thanks everyone for your reply. I guess I should have explained myself. The convection part of the oven works with air, hot air if you vent the oven will this affect how the oven preforms? My wife is concerned that it will affect the convection part of the oven.
Joe: I am a member of CCRVOC and read you mod. and it was very well done but I think yours was for a microwave only unit and as I explained above we are just concerned about exhausting the hot air and what effect if any that will have on the unit.

Hey Kim, thanks for the kudos. Mine is the combination convection/microwave unit and probably the same one you have. Sending the air through the back instead of through the top, has had no effect on the performance of the unit.
