Exactly! The arm raises to a horizontal position 8 inches above the RV, then it spins around. As long as obstructions are below that 8 inches, there is no issue.
Just watch your placement as the landing zone for the arm when it retracts is pretty close to a vent. But since the Trav'ler is in the retracted position when you install it, you can easily see where the landing zone is. I bought the landing zone plate (SKA004) for the 29RE (sold separately - Amazon & others for about $10). On my XLR I didn't use the plate with no ill effects. This plate can be added after installation if you decide to use it later.
