2005 coachmen encore

Hello everyone,

I'm considering purchasing a 2005 coachmen encore. It appears to be a clean coach inside and out. It only has 14k on it. Any suggestions on what to look out for when looking this coach over? Any good or bad stories and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This will be my first motorhome and want to make a informed decision. Thanks in advance.

Make sure all the systems are working, check for water damage and the floor. also vehicle mechanicals, which I'm sure you know. Get service records if available and if everything checks out you should good. Good luck!

Thanks Timberdog, it actually has 10k miles with all service records. Seems to be a nice unit, just barely used.

Great, but it's 10 years old so taking it to an RV center and have them check the house batteries, charging system, roof AC, fridge, furnace, hot water tank, propane tank, roof condition and your co2 and smoke detectors would be cheap insurance. Also could be a bargaining chip for purchase if anything is wrong.

Cheers

Thanks again, buying from Camping World so it's going through their PDI, was thinking about an after market warranty but never had any luck with those...always a loop whole when you need them. So just have to take my chances knowing buying a 10 year old coach...
