2019 Pursuit 32WC - AC/heat pump/thermostat issues

I'm hoping someone has run into this one. We have a new 2019 Pursuit 32WC. I added the heat pump option to both AC units. I've always run the shore power protected by the Progressive Industries EMS-PT50X Portable RV Surge Protector - 50 Amp. Gas heat, AC and heat pumps tested fine at the dealer, at home, on a quick first test run for the weekend. Both on shore power and generator.

Day one into a two week trip to Yellowstone from Chicago, gas heat dies. The unit tries to ignite but will not stay on. Also, an intermittent issue pops up. The back unit thermostat cuts out randomly, leaving a blank screen and no way to control the AC/heat pump. When it's on, the unit will run, then cuts off when the thermostat goes away. No way to make it happen or predict when it will.

The front thermostat stays on but will randomly stick on dually running the heat pump in tandem with the gas heat. This happens less frequently than the complete outage of the back one, and is not directly related in timing.

Second week of 100+ degree heat, you can imagine the complaints from the wife :-)

Back home, a week later, I'm at the dealer for an entire Saturday. Gas heat had a bad controller board. They replace it. Now, they can't replicate the AC/heat pump problem. It is logged so I'm not worried about it yet, but I'm not happy with the "Ya know, I've never...." from the service group.

Anyone else run into this? Any ideas?

Yes, ran into that, had to make sure it was in auto, when in the on position it will bring both on.

Thanks for the reply Witch Doctor. To clarify, the display is completely blank on the thermostat itself. Pressing any of the buttons does not bring back any of the selections or the temperature reading. I reset breakers, checked the fuse on the thermostat, checked the wiring... still happening.

Then you have a short somewhere, also check your ground wire, domestic uses a ground as positive for that stat, yes I know it's weird.
